Southern California Tour 2017

Price: $7,650

Frontier Travel Camp will kick-off its 20th Season Anniversary trip on June 30th, 2017.  We’ll fly non-stop from New York to sunny Southern California.  We’ll stay in a hip neighborhood of Los Angeles and day trip around town. We’ll get to tour Hollywood and the stars of the Sunset Strip.  We’ll hit sights like Grauman’s Chinese Theater and walk among the glitz and glamor of Beverly Hills.  And, we’ll see amazing art and photography at the Getty Museum.

A tradition of ours in Los Angeles is always to go to the Griffith Observatory on telescope night to view the constellations. We also love to picnic on a beach in Malibu, see the colorful people of Venice, and shop along the promenade of Santa Monica.  And for those lovers of Mickey Mouse, we’ll get to go to Disneyland.  Los Angeles has so many layers to it and we’ll spend several days there to find the ones that we love the most.

Frontier Travel Camp is also very dedicated to spending time in nature. We’ll have a few peaceful nights in Sequoia National Park. While there, we’ll wander through the forest looking up at these majestic trees. We always feel energized and relaxed after a day in the beauty and nature of the national parks. So after a few days of this, we’ll all be ready for the best weather in the country in beautiful San Diego.

There are many hidden gems in and around this southern-most California city. La Jolla is our favorite, but there are so many between there and the city center. We’ll do our best to see many of them. Meanwhile, we must visit the San Diego Zoo, the beautiful downtown areas of San Diego, and a few of the many Mexican villages that provide the diversity that makes this city so special. As usual, we will load our days fully with tourism.

  1. Just before we leave we’ll get to watch the sunset over the Pacific and imagine what adventures await on the other side of this tremendous ocean. For in a few short days we will fly upon the great continent of Australia.
